Some things about me you might like to know...
Family are Everything
My two girls, Darcey and Florence are my absolute greatest achievement in life! Although very close in age, they are SO very different and I could not be prouder of them! Our favourite thing to watch snuggled up by the fire, is Gladiators and when asked to come up with their own Gladiator names, they could not have thought of more apt names than they did! Darcey would be called 'Jewel' and Florence would be called 'Bam Bam'! Perfect!
Patriotically Cornish
I love (almost) everything about this beautiful county that we call home and genuinely feel so lucky to live here. My other half played rugby for Cornwall in the County Championships at Twickenham (shirt hanging proudly in the front room!) and my girls often randomly burst into song with 'Cornwall my Home' or another sea shanty and know all the words!
officially a Tog
I have a degree in photography from many moons ago. I graduated with a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts in Photography at the University of Plymouth and then decided to become a primary school teacher instead - for twelve years!! I missed being creative, I missed my own children whilst looking after others', so, I made a huge leap of faith, trusted in the universe and became a self-employed photographer. And life has never been so good!
I really love rabbits
In case you hadn't noticed! You can read my story below about my business origin and how it came to be (take a look at my one of my published works in WED - All Things Bright and Beautiful). But honestly, I actually love all animals and will happily take in any waifs and strays. We currently have Humphrey and Bella who can usually be seen hopping around outside the studio and occasionally nosing in the windows!

My Style
I am inspired by the beautiful part of the country that we live in and am ready to photograph your wedding in a candid and documentary style but with a creative approach. I capture moments as they happen, and am always pre-empting what may happen next and what might be my next shot. I love weddings in big, rustic venues, or the do-it-yourself weddings in the stunning countryside or on the rugged Cornish cliff tops. My wedding couples love an adventure, embrace the elements and don't mind a bit of mud on their shoes or the splash of the sea on their dress.
In the studio, I create a relaxed and calm environment for baby to feel settled and for you to also relax (with a hot drink ad biscuits) while I get to work. Although a studio may seem somewhat staged, I have a workflow that is completely baby orientated and works around their sleep and feeding needs. All the time, I am capturing all of those teeny tiny details as well as documenting natural moments between you and your baby. Siblings and fur-brothers and sisters are always welcome and gently encouraged! They say never to work with animals or children but either of these in my studio make my heart sing.
Rabbit House Studio Photography
Well over ten years ago, a rabbit was found on the school field where I worked. None of the neighbours claimed it as theirs and the local animal sanctuaries were full, so I headed home from work with a bunny in a cardboard box! My husband (boyfriend at the time) wasn't best pleased, mostly because we had no hutch or suitable enclosure for a rabbit. Naturally, the rabbit came into our house and made herself quite at home. Her name was Bessie Bun and was well and truly responsible for making me crazy about rabbits! Fast forward ten plus years, 6 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, one hedgehog, one husband (with the rabbits as guests of honour at our wedding) 2 children, a teeny dog, a fluffy pony and a new home, my studio is a conversion of the home that our late Bonnie bunny lived in. Suitable in size and structure for a rather fabulous man cave or bike shed, of course, the rabbits got priority when we moved in and lived in a heated, well kitted out rabbit palace! My husband (handily a builder by trade!) converted the Rabbit House into a luxurious and tranquil space that I use for family shoots and as an office. It really is heavenly in here and I love welcoming babies, families and sometimes animals into my wonderful work space.
