Avalen Farm on a Beautiful Summer’s day was how Georgia & Luke Chose to Celebrate their Wedding Day!
This wedding was an absolute dream! I have photographed many weddings at Avalen Farm now and genuinely it is one of my favourite venues. However, I have never photographed a wedding here in glorious, morning to noon sunshine!
That all changed on this wonderful day and there were so many highlights throughout the day that just made it ace!
Luke arrived in a personalised car which may just be the noisiest, brightest shade of lime green I have ever heard! I love that Avalen Farm allow you to completely and utterly personalise your day and this is just one of the days that I have seen this done here.
It was also my first ceremony under the sycamore tree. I am well practiced at ceremonies in the wedding barn and honestly, I love it in there. However, it was just the most peaceful, picturesque ceremony with Helman Tor in the backdrop. The sun was absolutely blazing (which for a photographer is actually a bit of a nightmare for a few reasons) but the shade of the huge tree was the perfect shelter from the harsh rays beaming down.
The couple made the most of the vast, manicured lawn and had hired a 9 hole mini golf set. Luke being a mad golfer was in his element, still almost every guest was found sinking their golf balls into the middle of the oversized wedding cake! Especially check out the golfing techniques of some of the ladies; one handed golf while refusing to put down the glass of vino in the other hand!
Georgia and Luke were such a vibe. When the chance came to escape and get some golden hour photos, they jumped at the chance and I am sure that they are as glad as I was that they did from the results of the photos! We were lucky enough to catch the wheat fields in their last few days of basking in the sunshine! The golden light on the golden fields was just the dream! More sunny weddings at Avalen Farm please!
*Disclaimer – Although the sun on this day was a one off for me and my first sunny wedding here, I am not jinxed and I do not bring the rain with me to weddings at this venue!*
