Trevenna is just lush! I always get excited when I get an inquiry for a wedding here and it isn’t just because of its beauty and peaceful surroundings, the team are 100% dedicated to making sure that the couples that get married here, have the very best experience from the moment they book right through the wedding day and beyond. I know couples that were married here ten years ago and they are still invited back for anniversary meals, afternoon teas and open days. As a supplier, they are also probably the most accommodating venue that I work at and I really feel part of the team on the days that I work here. The fact that it is a family farm and business really echoes through their ethos at Trevenna and it just adds and extra special something for those who choose this venue.

Wedding Day Spaces
The Threshing Barn is a stunning stone building that has stood at Trevenna for 100s of years and now provides a space for beautiful celebrations. Originally used for storing corn and milking cows, the Threshing Barn has a stunning oak bar, a real log fire, space for ceremonies & dancing. You can choose to hold your ceremony in this space for smaller weddings and has the iconic stairs at the end that every bride must be photographed descending!
The Garden Venue is adjacent to the Threshing Barn and provides the most beautiful backdrop for a ceremony or your wedding breakfast. With walls of windows and views into the fields this light and airy space complete with its white floating drapes and fairy light curtains is every photographer’s dream when it comes to photos of your wedding breakfast set up and the speeches.
The Mowhay is the most recent addition to the ceremony spaces and provides a light, airy but cosy space for ceremonies and a new bar for celebration drinks & canapes, before guests flow into the Garden Venue for your Feast.
The Arbour of oak & slate sits next to the giant tree creating a romantic scene for your outdoor wedding ceremony. A beautiful structure to decorate with your floral displays, it really sets the scene for a stunning bridal entrance across the perfectly manicured lawn with the countryside in the background.
There are also outside spaces a-plenty at this beautiful venue. Even the entrance lane is one of the most magical places to catch some couple shots with the dappled light dancing through the trees in any season. The walled garden, herb knot and meadow also provide peace and tranquillity as well as picturesque settings for you to venture out and get some photos of the two of you.
The Changing Seasons
As with most of the venues that I have visited, I have photographed Trevenna in the blazing heat and sunshine of summer as well as in the depths of winter. I will always take the chance to get every couple outside for some photos no matter the weather on their day and will be on constant weather watch for any slight window we can make it.
Trevenna has plenty of sheltered areas from both the sun and the rain. Covered benches, interior backdrops of great stone walls and once again that entrance lane that is covered in a canopy of trees that shelters you both as well as framing some gorgeous portraits.
Memorable Moment
All but one of the couples whose weddings I have photographed at Trevenna have had their dogs join them and I absolutely adore this (as if you hadn’t gathered from my website already!)
A favourite moment is tricky as I just love this venue – the team really look after me as an external supplier here so it is always a treat to work here – but maybe the day Jenny and Josh got married and we took Otis their dog for an evening stroll down to the swing and through the meadow. It was stunning; the sun did it’s golden hour thing just as we arrived down there and to watch (and photograph) the couple having fun and playing with Otis the Frenchie was just a really beautiful moment.
To add to this, Otis's sister Aurora, had also been at the wedding but was being looked after by Sarah from Wedding Day Dog Nanny as she was much more reserved in character and would have been overwhelmed at the on goings of the wedding. That night when i drove home from the wedding, there were reports of the Aurora Borialis making an appearance over Cornwall so I detoured and went on the hunt for a high ground and clear spot... not only did we get a stunning sunnset that evening at the wedding but that was the night that everyone will remember from 2024 when the Northern Lights decided to put on the most spectacular show.
