Sophie’s Flowers Were The Order of The Day at The Green, Cornwall for Hayley & Fred’s Spring Wedding

I always say less is more, unless you’re at a wedding and then more is always more. Hayley and Fred proved me both wrong, and right all at the same time at their wedding at The Green.

The couple had a fairly small wedding, and kept things very simple. Hayley had a stunning and beautifully understated dress, she wore her favourite shoes (olive green DM’s) and didn’t have a make up artist, as she wanted to look as naturally ‘her as possible’. They opted for chairs on the lawn in front of the oak arbour for their guests.

The vibe that they gave was fun and relaxed and they had planned for just that. The one aspect they truly poured their energy and creativity into, was the vision that the created with Sophie’s Flowers and her stunning floral arrangements. From vibrant bouquets bursting with pastel colours to carefully curated centre pieces that complemented the setting.

Just when it seemed that Sophie had reached the pinnacle of elegance with her stunning floral installations, the cake decorations elevated the enchantment to an entirely new level. It was evident that no detail was overlooked. Their dedication to crafting wild, spring time florals added an extraordinary touch of beauty and elegance to the entire event.

Sophie has shared her design proposal in the most beautifully presented, bespoke dossier, which offers a glimpse into her creative process and the inspiration behind her stunning designs. Here’s what she had to say:

M O O D & F E E L I N G ~ Romantic, natural and magical. Different heights and textures complement the pastel colour palette with deeper hues of blue to create depth. An explosion of Spring blooms accompanied by abundant foliage carefully selected to tell the story of Fred and Hayley as the marry in the Cornish countryside.

C E R E M O N Y ~ Wild and whimsical installations burst from wicker baskets. Flowers and foliage to climb effortlessly up the pergola creating a beautiful, impactful and abundant back-drop. Spring flowers in beautiful shades of pastels with different heights and some dried elements for texture.

R E C E P T I ON ~ Tables adorned with a selection of different glass bud vases bursting with wild, delicate, garden-style flowers. Elements of the outside installation to be repurposed in the barn and at the entrance of the barn. A beautiful installation growing from a moss fixture will sit at the base of the wedding cake, creating a wildflower and meadow-style arrangement.

B R I D A L B O U Q U E T ~ Wildly romantic and evoking the magic of the season for Hayley. Abundant with garden style flowers in pastel shades with blue accents. Handmade silk ribbons trail beneath and float effortlessly in the gentle breeze.

E X T R A D E T A I L S ~ Petite clusters of flowers for Fred and his groomsmen, tied with a handmade, silk ribbon. Delicate corsages created for Mother of the Bride and the Groom to sit perfectly on the wrist.

It seemed that Hayley and Fred’s day was truly one to shine. Not only were the florals breathtaking and the day itself was wholesome and idyllic, but the couple was blessed with one of the most incredible sunsets to end the day. These photos of them strolling and catching some fresh air in the golden light are the cherry on the cake when it comes to delivering a gallery. Not bad for a self-confessed camera shy couple who do not enjoy having their photo taken!

“Hannah was amazing through the entire experience, from our first meeting through to after the wedding!

She made us feel so at ease and relaxed on the day, which as 2 people who don't really like being Infront of the camera was amazing!

The photos are absolutely beautiful and will be cherished forever - thank you Hannah!” - Hayley & Fred
