I have photographed so many lush venues in Cornwall (and just outside – in Devon) over the years and I often get asked which are my favourite. It really is a hard one to answer because there are so many different things that are characteristic of each place and elements of each that make me really look forward to returning.
When thinking of a Cornwall wedding venue, I love the beauty and tranquility of being outdoors, so to me, the best venues are where not only the interiors are beautiful and in some ways iconic, but also that the outdoor spaces offer a certain something that will elevate the images in your gallery and add to the splendour. You can guarantee that even on a drizzly wedding day, I will be on weather watch and looking for an opportune moment to get you both outside and photographed in the greenery and open spaces of your chosen venue.
I also adore the DIY weddings in a marquee overlooking the cliffs and the ocean or in a family farmstead. It is always my full intention to make the location of your chosen venue shine through your gallery. I'll photograph landscapes and the interiors including all of the little details before your guests arrive. I'll also carefully select the locations of your couple shots, group shots and other key moments, like confetti, so you can look back and remember all of the gorgeous spaces that your venue has to offer.
It has been a while since I was in the planning stages of my own wedding but I remember the overwhelm and pressure of choosing the right venue. Hopefully this will give you an idea of what to expect from some of my favourite venues and what makes them distinctively unique.
I have included examples from weddings I’ve photographed at each venue to give you a good idea of how the venue will look in your wedding photos.
